Reclaim Your Feminine Energy

The essence of connecting to your feminine energy is to be creative, intuitive, softer, fluid, and more connected to nature and just being.

To be "successful" in our modern world, we're often deeply focused on the masculine which is productivity, hard work and defining ourselves by our jobs, business or how much money we make. This has lead to deep imbalance within our culture where we don't celebrate the value of connecting to our feminine energy.

Unfortunately, because we don't prioritize connecting to our more intuitive, creative resources, we are often left feeling less in tune with our bodies, our partners, our desires, our sexuality and our innate femininity.

To live a life of fulfillment on every level, we need to create a balance between the masculine and feminine energies within which means we need to reclaim what's been missing all this time - our connection to the Divine Feminine.

So, what is feminine energy and why is it essential to connect to it?

Our universe is made up of opposites - hot and cold, up and down, light and dark - all of these things bring us gifts and blessings. One isn’t better than the other, and they don’t compete against each other, they simply are opposites.

There is energy moving through this universe and through us at all times. We call the energies moving through us masculine and feminine energies.

Again, the pattern of opposites is showing itself here.

Masculine energy is all about producing, achieving, competing, building and bringing things into the manifest. Feminine energy is all about slowing down, going inward, dreaming, becoming introspective and listening to the quieter, softer parts of our being.

You can think of it like summer and winter or the sun and the moon.

Most of us are on the edge of burnout: we're on masculine overdrive because our society is built on external achievement, and we have to go to extremes to get far in our lives and careers. In fact, saying you’re so busy that you haven’t even had a moment to yourself is a celebrated thing in a lot of Western cultures. “Well, at least you’re busy!”

When this happens, over time we often feel rigid, uninspired, irritable, hyper-focused on perfection, lacking in connection with ourselves + other people, and have a very hard time being present or satisfied with our lives. Our minds are so addicted to being busy and on overdrive that we only know how to “relax” is by watching TV. We don't know how to "be," we only know how to be distracted.

This is where the importance of connecting to your feminine energy comes in. Because we don’t celebrate the softer qualities of life so much in the West, we often overlook the importance of connecting to the part of ourselves that will naturally bring us so much balance.

The beauty of connecting to divine feminine energy is that we learn to:

  • slow down, relax and feel the gift of tranquility + meditation

  • listen to our intuition

  • connect to the endless creative flow of life

  • feel more comfortable in our bodies

  • embrace our sensuality with no shame

  • feel a deeper connection to ourselves, our partners and our communities

When we have a balance of both masculine and feminine energies, we get to experience limitless creativity where we can dream our ideal world into being. The masculine is equally essential for us as it helps us take action to bring our dreams into the manifest, but when was the last time you let yourself really dream? Really, have you let your fantastical mind wander and tap into an energy that is softer, fluid, and without boundaries + rules since you were a child?

This is where we find what we truly want out of our lives, and this comes from the essence of the divine feminine.

So, I invite you, if you’re where I used to be and are naturally attracted to the masculine way of doing, doing, doing, then try to take some time to bring in softer elements throughout your day. Whether it’s meditating for 10 minutes in the morning or night, having a homecooked, healthy, nourishing meal with no TV on in the background, or going to a yin yoga class - try something that’s out of your normal comfort zone of producing and achieving.

Slow down, turn your gaze inward and reclaim your peace, your inspiration and your connection to all that is.

All the love xx
